Microporus Insulation
Characteristics
Microporous
insulation materials have a low coefficient of thermal conductivity,
i.e. very good insulating properties. It is non-flammable and meets
many fire protection classifications
(refer to individual manufacturers for classifications)
The
main constituents are fumed silica, opacifiers and binders. Microporous
insulation can be machined to any thickness, insulation blocks can be
joined together to make larger pieces
by adhesive or jointing.
Key Benefits
Reduced weight and volume
Increased heat retention or exclusion
Increased effective internal volume
Precisely controlled energy emission
